A Full Day of Klezmer Music and Yiddish Dance!
Step into the melodic world of klezmer with KlezFest, a celebration of authentic Klezmer music and Yiddish dance! This all-day event has something for everyone: an instrumental workshop with master Klezmer teacher and trombonist Dan Blacksberg of Philadelphia, a dance workshop with KlezKanada Artistic Director Avia Moore, and a community Learn-and-Dance session (also led by Moore) for all ages and abilities. Plus an exciting performance by Kol Halev Performance Society!

Klezfest Kick-off – Hear Seattle’s Brivele at Peretz Centre the night before!
Brivele is a Seattle-based duo who braid together Yiddish song, anti-fascist and labor balladry, folk-punk, and contemporary rabble-rousing in stirring vocal harmony. Brivele is touring in support of their forthcoming album, “Khaveyrim Zayt Greyt,” which will be released on May 1, 2025 through Borscht Beat Records. Brivele will play the night before Klezfest.
